First Workshop! Part C

Finally my boxes; made from just a single sheet of A4 card, they are so simple and straightforward to make, I am planning to do some in every colour just to have on standby for those last minute little gifts. The other really great thing about this design in particular is that they store completely flat, so take up very little room to store, until you need them...

Recipe;
Stamps; For Everything.
Card; Whisper White, Pink Pirouette or Marina Mist.
Inks; Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum, Early Espresso.
Punches; 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Extra Large, 1-3/8" Circle Large, 1-1/4" Circle Large.
Other; Designer Series Paper - Subtles, Ribbon.

I hope you like the designs, and if you wish to hostess your own fabulous event, and earn EXCLUSIVE rewards, then contact me at craftingbecky@gmail.com

First Workshop! Part B

This watercolour effect card uses a technique shown to me by a friend, and I really like that no two stampings will ever be quite the same...

As I wanted to demonstrate a different style of card, I partnered the Just Believe stamp with Linen Thread, neutral backing card, and a neutral button to finish it off. I used the pumpkin card to matt the stamp itself, and used sponge daubers on the edges just to make the card 'pop' a little more, and pick up one of the inks used for the stamp.

Recipe;
Stamps; Just Believe.
Card; Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake.
Inks; Early Espresso, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie.
Other; Linen Thread, Button.

First Workshop! Part A

So this weekend I held my first workshop and I think it went fairly well! Ok, so I may have fluffed up part of the demonstrations, but people seemed to enjoy it and even want to hostess one of their own. I got a few orders, and bulked up the order with stuff for me!
It is due to arrive today and I am so excited - there are some goodies from the NEW Mini Catalogue arriving, which I cannot wait to show you, but will have to as I am not allowed to post them up until the 1st April...

In the meantime I have realised that I haven't shown you the projects from my workshop - so here they are, listed in 3 separate posts to make the recipes clearer;

1) Greetings cards showcasing the Fun and Fast Notes stamp set. I love this set as it is so versatile, containing 8 different cute images with sentiments.
 And a close up of the chick, where I added a second stamped flower to create more depth, and of course, my favourite rhinestones for some sparkle! (The hedgehog card also has a rhinestone to enhance the butterfly).

Stamps; Fast Flowers, Fun and Fast Notes.
Inks; Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery, Black StazOn.
Card; Whisper White, Certainly Celery.
Punches; Scallop Trim Border.

Summer card

We have had some glorious weather in the last week, and one day I went out into the garden, sat in the sunshine and felt great! Being surrounded by the bright yellows of daffodils reminded me of sunflowers and marigolds, so had to get up to make this card!

I am loving the 2-step stamping technique used here, and I also masked off some areas using the craft cupboard basic - post-it notes.

Recipe;
Stamp sets; Greenhouse Garden
Card; Old Olive, Early Espresso, Whisper White
Ink; Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso
Other; Designer Series Paper - So Saffron

I hope you like it, and I am entering it into the Saturday Challenge 'Flowers for Mum';

3D Project

Well I seem to have been slacking at posting things up this week, but I will beg your forgiveness and say that I have been very busy! I would like to show you the beautiful project called the Elegant Soiree Basket (see link at bottom of post). I also created some little note cards to go in the basket and think it would make a perfect gift!

The basket with the note cards in it;
I love how simple and fast the note cards were to make, as well as the fact they use so little in the way of materials. The 'crumb cake' colour which I have used throughout, and as the background for the right hand note has got to be my new favourite colour as it is so versatile and coordinates with seemingly everything!

Recipe;
Stamp Sets; Simply Said, Baroque Motifs.
Card; Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla.
Ribbon; Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake.
Punches; Scallop Trim Border, Boho Blossoms.
Other; Designer Series Paper - Elegant Soiree, Basic Pearls.

I am also entering this project in the secret crafter Saturday challenge, 'Flowers for Mum';

Flower Broach

I made a few things today, one of which is this flower broach made of felt and embellished with beading. I tried a bit of an experiment with my cuttlebug and some dies, and am rather pleased with the result!
And as usual, here is a more detailed photo of some of the hand beading and embroidery I used to finish off the item;
I love the beads in the centre of the flower, they are the most gorgeous shades of shimmery red and purple! Hopefully the friend I have made it for will like it as much as I do.

Recipe;
Felt; Red and Cream
Beads; Gold, Red and Purple
Other; embroidery floss, beading thread, broach back finding, small amount fabric glue, cuttlebug, 'tattered florals' cutting die.

The first card!

So I have finished my first card using the stash that came with my starter kit! It is for a very special friend who has just started a new job, and I wanted to give her something spring-like to make her smile...
All the stamps used are from the For Everything set;
 A close up of some of the detail, where I used the blender pens to fill the purple flower, and the 'rock n roll' technique for the central flower;
 Finally I had to show you this stamp enlarged because I think it is so pretty! I simply added some rhinestones to make it sparkle! (What girl doesn't like some sparkle?!)
So the final 'Recipe' for this card is;
Stamp sets; For Everything.
Card; Whisper White, Old Olive.
Ink; Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Regal Rose, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie.
Ribbon; Rich Razzleberry.
Other; Basic Rhinestones, coloured rhinestones (non SU), and a cuttlebug + dies (non SU).

Please let me know what you think of this one!

My Starter Kit has Arrived!

So I finally received my starter kit yesterday!
It is so exciting, and I cannot wait to start crafting with my new goodies! Before I can start I need to mount the stamps I have bought onto their wooden blocks, but that shouldn't take too long.

Pictured below is the box as it arrived;
(At this point I was pretty much dancing around the living room)

After diving in, I divided the contents into the 'business bits' and the 'creative bits' so that you could see more clearly what I received. I chose a slightly different items from the recommended collection, but am happy with my choices:-
Stamp sets; Basic Phrases, For Everything (clearmount), Greenhouse Garden, Just Believe, So Many Thanks and the Fast Flowers standard wheel.
Classic Stampin' pads; Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose and Early Espresso.
Stampin' Write markers; Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight.

Above is a photo of the business materials that came in the starter kit, and includes catalogues, order forms, a getting started DVD, guest invitation post cards and much more!

Time to get making!
