My Digital Studio - Scrap the small stuff!

Good morning! Today I want to talk about scrap booking. We all know about scrapping our latest holiday or day out, are on familiar terms with family - kids growing up, birthdays and special events, but there is much more out there!

Scrap the small stuff is about recording the tiny things that make you who you are. It could be a page about your favourite morning coffee, your top ten pairs of shoes, a shared cuppa with friends or as I have done, what I am reading at the moment.

These topics are great when you are on the go as if you have a phone with a camera you are all set - no need to remember to take a separate camera out. These small things lend themselves to small projects, 6" x 6" is my favourite size, although the one above is actually A4.

Using MDS is so simple, I have chosen one of my most used digital kits "All Time Fave" - I love the funky retro designs, bright colours and interesting quotes that come with it. I took the layout from a pre-designed page and swapped in different patterned papers, banners, headings etc... Then the finishing touch is just to drag and drop the photo into place. If you haven't tried it yet, then download the free 30 day trial and see if you could be inspired by MDS! Click the link at the bottom of the post to go straight to my shop and the free download - Oh and did I mention MDS works for both Windows and Apple computers? So you Mac fans out there needn't feel left out...

That's all from me today, but I will be back soon with more creations,

Happy Crafting,
Becky

ps: see if you can spot the spelling mistake in the project above! Whoops! Leave me a comment if you find it ;) but don't say where it is as you will spoil it for others...

TOP 5 picks: The NEW Spring / Summer catalogue 2014

Hello, Hello!

Today I want to share with you my absolute FAVOURITE, have-to-have, my world is incomplete without, goodies from our wonderful new catalogue!

I tell you I NEEDED this catalogue! It is full of fresh colours, pretty floral patterns and designs that have incredible WOW factor.

Click on the front cover image above to take a look!

SO to the countdown!

In 5th place we have... Natural Chevron Ribbon

It's soft, it's pretty, it is both contemporary and rustic in feel - what's not to love!? Use this to embellish your projects for that 'Ooooh, touch me' effect. You get 4.6 metres for £6.25 - so it will go a long way.
In 4th place, please welcome the all-new Scallop Tag topper punch

Anyone who knows me knows I love my tags - now I can make them with pretty edges without having to cut by hand or get the big shot out! More of an investment at £20.95, this will save you so much time when making cards, scrapbook pages, or wrapping that last minute gift for the birthday you nearly forgot (Admit it, we have all been there!)...
We like this one... A LOT!

In 3rd place is the Hardwood Background Stamp

If you only get to own ONE background stamp - MAKE IT THIS ONE!!! You will not believe how versatile it is. I have seen stunning men's cards, thank you cards, kids cards and even baby cards! Cards where the stamp is a subtle background and where it is all-guns-blazing focal point. Trust me. You need this stamp in your craft arsenal! Great value at £12.95 (clear mount).
Essential to your crafting survival!

In a tightly fought 2nd place - I introduce you to the Burlap and Blooms Simply Created Wreath Kit

What can I say. This one totally blew me away and I fell in love. Most of you know I am not a massive home decor kinda crafter. But this, THIS makes me want to have an spring-time-Easter-type party every day of the week just to show off how pretty it is!

I can practically smell Snowdrops and Daffodils from here...

Last, but by no means least say hello to our winner the: Petite Petals Bundle!

Narrowly beating that beautiful wreath by virtue of being TWO products with a fabulous discount at an INCREDIBLE price (£18.95), this punch and stamp set combination is an absolute winner (Yes, you do get BOTH items for that price!).

I will be basing my workshops on this pretty stamp set and punch combo throughout February, so if you would like to see it in action then you need to book a fun night in with the girls and invite me along to show you!

Don't forget for every £45 you spend until 31st March 2014 you can choose a free gift from our Sale-A-Bration catalogue, so if you fancy having a go with these beautiful treats, simply click the larger images to go to my online shop and see more product details, or use the smaller images below.

Happy Crafting!
